Research applying dynamical systems, network theory, and machine learning to biological systems — including neural networks and animal movement ecology.
In collaboration with Wageningen University and Research, I work on modelling and explainability of biological neural networks. This includes developing mathematical frameworks for understanding how neural circuits process information and generate behaviour.
Animal trajectories encode rich information about behaviour, habitat use, and ecological interactions. I am developing tools for the analysis of animal tracks, applying methods from dynamical systems and statistics to extract meaningful patterns from movement data.
